The IV National Pitch & Putt Qualifying Tournament 2024, the sixth and final event valid for the National Pitch & Putt Ranking 2024, which was held at the Masía de las Estrellas Golf Club (Catarroja, Valencia), has crowned José María Ortiz de Pinedo as the winner.
The player from Castile and León started the last round three strokes behind the leader, Noel Calzadilla, but his great consistency in signing a card of 51 strokes for the third time in the tournament and the collapse of the golfer from the Canary Islands, who delivered 55, ended up giving him the victory.
Following José María Ortiz de Pinedo was Noel Calzadilla himself, second by a single stroke, and Marcos Gómez closed the podium, two strokes from the lead after a good comeback of four places in the overall standings.
Noel Calzadilla, leader after the first day
The 4th National Pitch & Putt Qualifying Tournament 2024 began with the first day of competition, which as usual consisted of two rounds, and after those 36 holes, the best positioned player was Noel Calzadilla, thanks to two scores of 48 and 51 strokes, for a total of 99 strokes.
The Canary Islander, who had already won the previous event held at Palacio Urgoiti (Vizcaya), achieved a three-stroke advantage over José María Ortiz de Pinedo, second after delivering two identical rounds of 51 strokes and a total of 102 strokes, and four strokes over Javier Pérez, who completed the provisional podium after signing two rounds of 48 and 55 strokes and an accumulated total of 103 strokes.
Once again, Bodegas Habla has acted as a sponsor of the competition, gifting a valuable Magnum to the players who made a hole-in-one during the tournament.
