The Royal Spanish Golf Federation and Sport & Business are once again launching Objective 2023, a program designed to improve the performance of elite golfers and encourage competition among younger players with a chance of qualifying for the European team of the PING Junior Solheim Cup 2023, a tournament that will be held at the Old Course of La Zagaleta, in the Malaga municipality of Benahavís, as a prelude to the Solheim Cup 2023.

As with last year's edition, this program bases its objectives on a ranking that will be established throughout the 2022 season, and the first two ranked players will receive as a prize a trip sponsored by the RFEG to the AIG Women's Open, which will be held from August 4 to 7 in Muirfield (Scotland).

In this setting, both golfers will enjoy the experience of living a Grand Slam tournament firsthand and will have the opportunity to feel the vibrations of the highest level of competition worldwide.

All players of Spanish nationality, with a world handicap equal to or less than 4.4, born in 2005 or later and who hold the corresponding federation license in force issued by the Royal Spanish Golf Federation, may take part in Objective 2023.

As for the 2022 ranking calendar for the 2023 Goal, it will consist of four scoring tournaments: the Spanish National Under-18 Women's Championship, which will be held from March 17 to 20 at the Villa de Madrid Country Club; the Celia Barquín Memorial, which will take place from April 1 to 3 at the Real Club de Golf La Barganiza, in Asturias; the Madrid Women's Championship, which will be held from April 8 to 10 at Golf Santander, in Madrid; and the Spanish National Individual Women's Championship, which will be held from June 2 to 5 at the Ulzama Golf Club, in Navarra.

Once these four events have been completed, the final ranking for 2022 will be determined by the three best results, discarding the worst if necessary, and in case of a tie, the RFEG's Youth Technical Committee and Amateur Women's Technical Committee will decide.

The 2023 Solheim Cup, an event of exceptional public interest officially hosted by Finca Cortesín, will take place for the first time in Spain from September 18-24, 2023. It is sponsored by PING, Costa del Sol, and Rolex as global partners; by Andalucía, Acosol, the Marbella City Council, and the Benahavís City Council as official partners; and by Reale Seguros as official sponsor. Vithas, TORO, Solán de Cabras, Eversheds Sutherland, and the Casares City Council are official suppliers. Marca and Radio Marca are official media outlets. The LET, LPGA, RFEG, CSD, RFGA, and Deporte & Business are collaborating in its organization.
