The first day, played in Fourball format, saw Cristina de Donesteve and Virginia Juste take the lead after carding a 70 (-1). The pair were the only ones to play under par, allowing them to head into the final round at the top of the leaderboard.

However, the leaderboard remains very tight. Just one stroke behind the leaders are two pairs: Macarena Campomanes and Catalina Castillejo, and Patricia Barturén and Beatriz Cid. Both pairs completed the first 18 holes at even par, with scores of 71 strokes.

As a reminder, this tournament, in which Galician players Natalia Martínez-Reboredo and Ana Urgoiti are defending their titles, is played over two days. The first day consists of 18 holes played in the Fourball format, and the second day of another 18 holes played in the Greensome format.
