The introduction of the new World Handicap System, designed to establish single, common rules for handicap control and to provide a more consistent measure of the skill of players from different regions of the world, will be implemented as planned throughout 2020.

Article 7 reiterates that only rounds played in Individual, Canada Cup, and Best Ball formats will be valid for handicap purposes in the World Handicap System. The treatment and calculation of Individual rounds have already been covered in the preceding articles (1 through 6), while Canada Cup rounds will be treated the same as Individual rounds.
