The Royal Spanish Golf Federation, together with the Autonomous Federations and the support of the Higher Sports Council through its Women and Sport program, promotes the television program HOLAGOLF, a fifteen-minute magazine.
The aim of this program, presented by journalist Miguel Ángel Barbero and professional golfer Patricia Lobato, is to introduce golf to those unfamiliar with it by highlighting its many benefits, such as health, nature, and physical activity. Additionally, leading figures in the sport collaborate to dispel the prejudices that have historically been associated with this recreational and athletic activity.
The twenty-fourth installment of the season begins with the 'Current Affairs Report'. It showcases the fourth edition of the UCM Communication and Golf Chair awards ceremony, where four leading figures in their respective fields have been recognized for their outstanding work in promoting golf both as a sport and as an industry.
In the 'Interview', Olympic champion Mercedes Coghen spoke to Holagolf about her start in golf after a successful career in professional hockey.
Next, sports psychologist Óscar del Río offers advice in 'Playing Smart' to help you be more effective during a game. Additionally, in 'Damasgolf,' Marta Muñoz, a professional golfer from Ávila, shares her personal experience after playing in a LETAS tournament at the course where she grew up.
The section dedicated to 'Federations' features the impactful study conducted by the Instituto de Empresa, which highlights the importance of golf to the Spanish economy. Finally, in 'Golf People,' Alberto Díaz Bravo explains the responsibilities of being a coach at the Blume National Golf School.
Apart from the weekly premieres, all HOLAGOLF programs are regularly rebroadcast on Teledeporte and are also available for online viewing at http://www.rtve.es/alacarta/videos/holagolf/, www.holagolf.es and www.rfegolf.es.
