The 2025 IV National Pitch & Putt Qualifying Tournament has come to a close at Las Encinas Golf (Boadilla del Monte, Madrid), a venue that brought together some of the most decorated players in this specialty in recent years.

The anticipation was high and the tournament responded with a mix of excitement, quality and a vibrant final that crowned José María Ortiz de Pinedo.

The golfer from Castile and León, who had already won the third qualifying event, secured a hard-fought double victory. After Saturday's double round, Ortiz de Pinedo entered the final 18 holes at the top of the leaderboard and seized the opportunity, carding a solid 50 to complete a total of 150 strokes.

Behind José María Ortiz de Pinedo were the Galician Antón Pérez, second with one more stroke, and the Madrid native Rafael Santonja, third two strokes behind the winner.

This tournament, which has just concluded, was the fifth event in the National Ranking, out of a total of six: the Spanish Individual Championships and the four National Ranking events. The Men's Spanish Championship was played last May, with César Crespo taking the victory at the Paderne course in A Coruña, while the Women's Championship will be held on October 25th and 26th at Golf Elche.

As for the National Ranking events, four have already been held, with victories for Carlos Vega, César Crespo and José María Ortiz de Pinedo twice.

Bodegas Habla, which sponsors the competition, presented a valuable Magnum to the players who were lucky enough to get a hole-in-one on both days.
