ADAPTED 2025 GOLF QUADRANGULAR MATCH

Spain's performance in the second edition of the international Adapted Golf quadrangular tournament, organized by the RFEG's Adapted and Inclusive Golf Committee at El Encín Golf (Alcalá de Henares, Madrid), ended in defeat. Today, the home team lost to Sweden (2.5-0.5), the tournament winner, leaving them in third place overall.

Spain was looking for a prestigious victory against the Swedish team, but it wasn't to be; only Juan Postigo managed to secure a point, which was enough for Spain (2.5 points) to overtake France (2) in the fight for third place. The title went to the Swedish team itself (8.5), who were in excellent form all week.

A difficult start against Denmark

The first day concluded with a 2-1 defeat for Spain against Denmark in a match where the Danes came back from behind to win the singles match after Patricia Roldán and Álvaro Luengo had initially won the foursome. In the other match of the day, Sweden beat France 3-0.

On Wednesday, Spain failed to secure their first victory of the week, falling to France (2-1), who were more accurate in the first two matches of the day. Only Patricia Roldán managed to win her point. With this defeat, the home team was mathematically eliminated from contention for the title.

The Spanish team in this match consisted of Juan Postigo, Álvaro Luengo, José Luis Pascual and Patricia Roldán.
