Tanto Álvaro Mateu (par) como Sergio Vargas (+1) se han mostrado muy sólidos, firmando sendos resultados que les permiten navegar por el Top 10 provisional de la prueba masculina. Tres birdies por cabeza para ganar confianza en este exigente recorrido.

Ligeramente más discreto ha sido el estreno en el apartado femenino: Cornelia Bermudo (+3) y Sofía Gamilla (+6), lastradas por las dificultades de los hoyos 17 y 18, han cerrado el día más lejos de la cabeza.

Al término del día, España es sexta a siete golpes de la tercera plaza, pero a trece del líder, Francia, que bajo el impulso de Alan Rode (-7) ha firmado un excepcional comienzo.

Un buen cuarteto para un test exigente

The four players who have traveled to Evian are Sofía Gamilla from Cádiz (a returning player), Cornelia Bermudo from Seville, and Álvaro Mateu and Sergio Vargas from Madrid. Amparo Puig is the captain, and Felipe Rodríguez is the coach. Xisca Negre, President of the Youth Technical Committee, is also in Evian.

The tournament hosts a total of twenty teams from as many countries around the world, each made up of four players under the age of 15, who compete in three rounds of 18 holes under the stroke play format on the popular course in eastern France. All of them compete both individually and as a team.
