Route 365 is now a fully established reality in our country. This assertion is based on the numbers from the fourth edition (for those who don't know, the fifth is already underway), in which the number of registered players has risen to 13,545, almost 2,000 more than in the previous edition. A figure that speaks for itself.

Three years looking up

The RFEG (Royal Spanish Golf Federation) and the Regional Golf Federations launched the Ruta 365 project in 2022, and it has continued to grow ever since. The goal is to encourage members to travel, to discover new golf courses and destinations, urging them all to hit the road and enjoy an experience with family or friends. And this goal has been more than achieved.

The people of Madrid are the most active

Some interesting data that emerges from a closer look at Ruta 365: the Community of Madrid accounts for 37 percent of the players (almost 5,000). Next come Andalusia, Catalonia, Castile and León, and the Basque Country.

However, the Autonomous Communities with the highest penetration rates for their licenses are Extremadura (10.1 percent), Cantabria (7.4 percent) and Castilla y León (7.2 percent).

On the other hand, the four editions have already surpassed 25,000 stamped fields. The Green Route leads with 23 percent of the stamps, followed by the Castile Route (22 percent) and the Sun Route (20 percent). The cutoff for access to the fourth edition of this Route 365 Final was set at seventeen validated stamps, a figure that can serve as a reference for participants in the fifth edition.

Naturally, the busiest months are July and August - when there is a strong movement of players from Madrid, mainly towards the north of Spain - although play has also intensified in the period between April and June.

218 fields cannot be wrong

The fact that 218 courses have currently joined the program (more than half of them 18-hole courses) clearly demonstrates the growing popularity of Ruta 365 among Spanish golfers since its inception. Interestingly, Ruta del Sol accounts for 27 percent of these courses.

Oh, and the most visited courses in this edition were Layos Golf (159 stamps), Celia Barquín – Abra del Pas (119), and Norba Golf (119). We're already eagerly awaiting the results of this fifth edition, which we anticipate has started off very busy.
