The Lumine Golf, Las Colinas and La Finca courses, the golf tour operators Campbell Lamont and Stray Sod Green Fees & Golf Tour, and José María Olazábal in his role as designer, have been awarded at the seventh edition of the World Golf Awards, whose ceremony has taken place virtually.
Lumine Golf, in Tarragona, was awarded one of the top prizes, recognizing it as the Best Golf Resort in Europe, repeating the award it won last year. It succeeded La Manga Club, which received the same accolade in 2018. The Tarragona golf resort boasts two 18-hole courses and one 9-hole course, for a total of 45 holes, all of which enjoy renowned national and international prestige, now recognized by the World Golf Awards jury.
For its part, Las Colinas Golf & Country Club (Alicante) has been designated as the Best Course in Spain, an award it had already won in the 2015, 2016 and 2017 editions, and La Finca Resort (Alicante) has received the award for Best Golf Hotel in Spain.
Meanwhile, Campbell Golf Lamont has renewed its title as the Best International Golf Tour Operator, and Stray Sod Green Fees & Golf Tour has won the award for Best National Golf Tour Operator in Spain.
The World Golf Awards, which were presented remotely for the first time, recognize excellence in facilities and services at various golf courses around the world.
