. The aim is to emphasize the important role of women in Spanish golf, considering that almost 90,000 women practice this sport in our country.

The Royal Spanish Golf Federation, through the so-called Communication and Companies Cup – a platform from which the values of golf are disseminated – encourages all clubs in Spain to celebrate Women Golfers' Day, which will take place during the last week of May and the first three weeks of June 2026 in all Spanish golf courses that wish to join this initiative. 

The possibility of readapting a women's tournament already scheduled in the June calendar – or even in the last week of May – and renaming it Women Golfers' Day allows clubs to join the initiative even more easily, responding to a request made by the clubs themselves in previous editions.

The dissemination of the fact that, in Spain, nearly 90,000 women practice this sport is part of an initiative promoted, among other organizations, by the International Golf Federation, the World Golf Foundation, the LPGA and LET Professional Circuits and to which the Royal Spanish Golf Federation is added.

This event, integrated within the framework of the Women and Sport Program, is aimed at both novice and more experienced players, encouraging clubs to dedicate some of the days of the last week of May and the first three of June 2026 as an initiation and socialization day by organizing specific 18 or 9 hole tournaments or by holding clinics that help attendees have a positive contact with the sport of golf, taking advantage of the knowledge of those who already have more experience.

The Communication and Business Cup, a series of events promoted by the RFEG to spread the values of golf, will specifically organize a central event at the National Golf Centre to commemorate International Women Golfers' Day, which will take place on June 9, 2026.

It is worth remembering that from 2017 to 2025, on the occasion of the first nine editions of Women Golfers' Day, more than fifty tournaments were held in Spain in each of them with exclusively female participation, in order to highlight not only the fact of the high number of players, but also the importance of the full incorporation of women into the sport, linking with the media and advocacy focus that the celebration of Women Golfers' Day has both in our country and abroad.
