. Anna Huang, 16, led the tournament from start to finish and recorded only three bogeys in 72 holes.

. Nuria Iturrioz, in eighth place, was the highest-ranked Spanish player, while amateur Carolina López-Chacarra made a great impression in her LET debut, finishing tied for 26th place.

Canadian Anna Huang proved that pressure is truly a privilege by claiming her first Ladies European Tour (LET) title at La Sella Open, with a dominant seven-stroke victory over France's Nastasia Nadaud.

After four days of unwavering concentration, Huang barely let out a restrained smile as he sank a birdie on the 18th hole to finish at twenty under par.

Huang's victory represents the largest margin of victory on the LET this season and the lowest score in the history of the La Sella Open across its three editions. With this win, he climbs from 50th to 22nd in the Order of Merit rankings.

At the end she declared: “It’s very special to be able to win this great tournament at 16 years old; it’s crazy because I never thought it could happen, but I’m very proud of myself.”.

“I’ve been very focused throughout, and the other results haven’t really been a distraction for me. At the start of the season I didn’t have a tour card, so to be able to win is crazy.”.

Huang's father was his caddie for the entire week, and regarding the importance of that connection, Huang commented: "It's very special to have my father in the bag because he has caddied for me since I started playing golf.".

Before the final round, the Canadian recalled Billie Jean King's legendary phrase that "pressure is a privilege," showing nerves of steel in front of the large number of fans gathered in Denia to follow her along with Nadaud and Lauren Walsh.

The young woman started the final day with a three-stroke lead and had to withstand the initial pressure from Nadaud, who with two birdies in her first two holes got to within just one stroke of the Canadian.

However, Nadaud couldn't maintain that initial momentum, carding bogeys on the 8th and 14th holes that dropped her to -13, erasing her strong start. On the back nine, Huang responded to her bogeys with birdies on the following holes, reinforcing her lead.

Nadaud declared: “Anna has played very solid golf since the beginning of the week, she deserved to win; it's truly incredible for her.

“If at the beginning of the week they had told me I was going to finish second, I would have signed up for it immediately, but it’s a bit sad to finish over par on the last day.”.

Australian Maddison Hinson-Tolchard carded a 69 (-3) to achieve her best LET result, finishing third, ahead of Singapore's Shannon Tan, who closed the gap on Mimi Rhodes in the Order of Merit despite an inconsistent final round. Five tournaments remain this season.

Ireland's Lauren Walsh confirmed her second place in the Swiss Open with a top five finish at La Sella Golf, Denia.

Swiss player Chiara Tamburrini, the season's top-10 leader, added her 16th to her tally, finishing sixth with -9, ahead of Czech player Jana Melichova, who returned to the top ten in her first LET event after more than a year.

Order of Merit leader Mimi Rhodes narrowly missed her seventh top ten finish of the season in her debut at the Costa Blanca resort, finishing with -6.

Nuria Iturrioz was the highest-ranked Spanish player, while her compatriot and amateur player, Carolina López-Chacarra, made a great impression in her LET debut, finishing tied for 26th place.

At the end of the week, Iturrioz summarized: “I felt comfortable. My putting was much better today. My approach shot also worked well, and I've regained confidence with my drive, hitting quite a few fairways again. Now it's time to rest, I'm going home, and I'm happy. Obviously, the rough affected me a lot, and I would have liked to have played less, but the level of play was very interesting.”

Voted Tournament of the Year by the players in 2023 and awarded the Best Player Services prize in 2024, the La Sella Open has quickly established itself as a benchmark for its commitment to promoting women's golf, excelling in every aspect of the event. Furthermore, it boasts a purse of €1,000,000, the largest of any women's tournament in Spain and one of the largest in Europe.
