Basque player Jon Rahm, of the National Teams, continues his winning streak. To cap off a dream season, he won the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational, securing his eighth victory since joining Arizona State University.

At Isleworth Country Club in Florida, the Basque golfer carded rounds of 71, 70, and 69 for a total of 210 (-6), two strokes better than his teammate, Germany's Max Rottluff. Together, they led the Arizona team to second place in the team standings.

Thus, the current Number Two in the Amateur Ranking – surpassed only by American Maverick McNealy – has solidified his position as one of the top players of the moment. It's worth remembering that Jon Rahm is a pillar of Spanish amateur golf and one of Europe's most promising young talents. His performance this year at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, a PGA Tour event, where he finished fifth, confirmed that the Bilbao native is one of the greatest talents to emerge from the Blume National Golf School.

Rahm had already won this course

Jon Rahm had already secured two college victories this year. In mid-May, he earned a prestigious win in the United States, triumphing at the College League Regionals with a remarkably solid performance. A 64 in the second round proved to be the deciding factor in this latest success.

Jon Rahm carded a 206, two strokes ahead of Oklahoma players Michael Gellerman and Max McGreevy, his closest rivals. A front nine of 73 put him in contention, but it was his back nine 64 that set him on the path to victory. He finished the week with a 69 at The Farms Golf Club (San Diego, California).

This result was simply a continuation of his impeccable performance in recent years. In the first week of April, he won the ASU Thunderbird Invitational at Karsten Golf Club, cementing his status as Arizona State's most prominent player in many years.

On that occasion, Jon Rahm put on a very solid performance, posting rounds of 65, 64, and 66 for a total of 195, one less than his Arizona State University teammate, Max Rottluff. Both players led their university to victory in the team competition.

Jon Rahm and Max Rottluff battled for the win from the outset, with third-place finisher Nick Voke of Iowa State trailing by 10 strokes. Rahm secured his third victory of the year for a Spaniard in the U.S. Collegiate Golf League. Interestingly, he had also previously defeated Rottluff at The Duck Invitational. Rahm carded rounds of 71, 71, and 70 for a total of 212 (-4), just one stroke better than his Arizona State teammate.

Scott W. Fernandez, first winner in 2015

In early March, Spain secured its first victory of the year in the U.S. Collegiate League. Scott W. Fernández, from Granada, playing for Iowa State, achieved it at the National Invitational Tucson in Arizona, where he displayed overwhelming superiority. This success also made him the golfer with the most wins in his team's history.

The Andalusian won by a margin of seven strokes. His rounds of 70, 66, and 69 strokes for a total of 205 allowed him to clearly surpass George Cunningham (Arizona) and Xander Schauffele (San Diego State).

With this result, Scott W. Fernandez became a historic athlete at Iowa State; never before had a 'Cyclone man' – as the players of this university are called – won four titles.

At the end of the final day, the Spaniard noted that he remained "calm all day so I could play at my own pace and with my own game. The coach came with me, but I didn't want to ask him about the other players' results. He has certainly helped me a lot these last three days," he said.

Scott W. Fernández is a member of the National Teams and one of the Spanish players with the most brilliant career in the United States.
