In addition to the overall titles, the 2026 Spanish Under-16 Pitch & Putt Championships have crowned their respective champions in the Cadet, Junior and Alevín categories.
In the Cadet category, the titles coincided with those of the absolute classification, with Ismael Mateo as the male champion and Blanca Núñez as the female winner.
In the Children's category, the best were Carlos Domínguez and Cornelia Bermudo, while in the Junior category the victories went to Mateo Botana and Clara Triguero.
A magnificent debut by Blanca Núñez
The Spanish Under-16 Pitch & Putt Championships began at Barbanza Golf with very different scenarios in the male and female classifications.
Among the boys, the first day was marked by tremendous parity. Enzo Zaplana, Ismael Mateo, and Gonzalo Álvarez shared the lead after completing their respective rounds with excellent scores of 48 strokes (-6), leaving the fight for the title wide open heading into the final round.
The situation was very different in the women's category. Blanca Núñez presented her candidacy for the title from the first day with an extraordinary round of 45 strokes (-9), a result that allowed her to open up a significant gap over her main rivals.
Elsa Gil and Cornelia Bermudo were the only ones able to stay relatively close to the Galician player, although both finished the first day five strokes behind after handing in two cards of 50 strokes (-4).
The advantage gained in those first 18 holes ended up being decisive for Blanca Núñez, who knew how to manage it during the final round to complete her performance and be proclaimed champion of Spain.
It is worth remembering that the 2026 Spanish Benjamin Pitch & Putt Championship was also held at the Barbanza Golf facilities and concluded with victories for Leo Rey and Beatriz Seguín.
