The 15th Congress of the Spanish Association of Golf Managers (AEGG) far exceeded the expectations of all involved. It was a resounding success, framed by the excellence of its magnificent venue, the Meliá Villaitana Golf, and boasting the highest attendance ever recorded: over 200 registered managers, more than 300 accredited attendees, over 42 collaborating companies, and an increase in the number of players participating in the golf championship.
This is undoubtedly the greatest achievement in the history of the AEGG Congress, the result of an engaging and comprehensive program designed around the most current topics on the daily agenda and the future concerns of golf management and leadership. This approach was perfectly reflected in the wide range of topics of interest, compiled from surveys conducted with the managers themselves throughout the year.
Led by an exceptional communicator and golfer like Carlos García-Hirschfeld, the congress became a model of integration. It featured representatives from all institutions linked to golf: the RFEG (Royal Spanish Golf Federation), AEdG (Spanish Association of Golfers), PGA of Spain, and AEGG (Spanish Association of Golfers), whose union strengthens and lends authority to the voice of Spanish golf. Furthermore, the program combined highly relevant topics with nationally and internationally renowned speakers, consolidating the manager's leadership in the new era of golf.
Training, innovation, motivation, talent, management, tourism, maintenance, sustainability, technology, social media, and especially Artificial Intelligence, were the central themes of the congress. New this year were practical workshops in an “Ask & Give” format, which facilitated direct interaction between experts, colleagues, and collaborators.
The event unfolded in a remarkably pleasant and friendly atmosphere among colleagues, who expressed their satisfaction with the high quality of the content, the shared knowledge, and the overall experience. This success is a testament to the AEGG Board of Directors and the Congress Organizing Committee, whose members meticulously attended to every detail of the organization, earning the congratulations of the entire management community.
With this consolidated experience, the AEGG is already beginning to plan its new projects and the 2026 congress, with the intention of maintaining this same trajectory of success. And with the same clear mission of advancing the professionalization of golf, offering training, resources, services, and updated solutions so that golf managers have the support of the AEGG in the demanding and complex work of their daily lives.
