. The ranking remains incredibly tight, with four different winners to date and a minimal difference between the top two.
The Santander Golf Tour 2025 resumes competition on October 8-9 at Club de Campo Laukariz (Course A) to begin a final stretch that is as exciting as it is demanding. From then on, the schedule offers no respite: Real Club de Golf La Peñaza (October 23-24) and Real Club de Golf de La Coruña (October 29-30) will host the seventh and eighth events of the circuit, before the Doubles Championship at Club Zaudín Golf (November 5-6) and the closing event from November 19-21 with the Santander Spanish Women's Professional Championship, which will be played for the first time on the Heathland course at La Hacienda Links Golf Resort.
The first half of the year has confirmed the parity of the circuit, with four different winners in the four ranking events played to date. Dutch player Lauren Holmey opened the season with her first professional victory at Empordà Golf after a thrilling final round in which she defeated María Herráez, the 2024 circuit ranking winner.
Amaia Latorre took over at the Parador de El Saler Golf Course, controlling the tournament from start to finish and thus securing her third victory in the Santander Golf Tour.
At Real Golf de Pedreña, Marta Spiazzi staged a memorable comeback in the Match Play final with a streak of seven consecutive birdies to defeat Catalan Paz Marfá, while at Golf Naturávila, Mexican Alejandra Llaneza prevailed in a thrilling playoff against Holmey and Justice Bosio in the event jointly organized by the Santander Golf Tour and the LET Access Series.
In the fifth event of the season (the last one played to date) the public enjoyed the Pro-Am Legends at Golf Santander for two days, a classic event of the circuit that, although it is not scored towards the general ranking, brought together again the leading figures of Spanish women's golf.
Thus, the standings are very tight heading into the final stretch of the season. Holmey maintains her lead with a margin of less than 1,000 points over Llaneza. Behind them, the battle for the top positions involves Marina Escobar, Marta Spiazzi, and Amaia Latorre, with Paz Marfà, Charlotte Liautier, and Lucie André close behind.
The return to CC Laukariz will set the tone for this final sprint: a course that rewards good teeing and distance control on demanding greens. RCG La Peñaza will require strategy and technique beyond just power, while RCG La Coruña will add the coastal factor to an always competitive course.
The Doubles at Club Zaudín Golf, the preferred format for players on the circuit, will change the pace with shared tactical decisions and partnership synergies that will prove crucial for the final victory. Finally, the Spanish Women's Professional Championship at La Hacienda LGR will bring the season to a close with three days of high-stakes competition and the national title on the line.
Beyond the prestige of each victory, the ultimate prize is decisive: the winner of the Santander Golf Tour ranking will gain direct access to the final phase of the LET Qualifying School (Q-School) to compete for a card on the top European tour, in addition to an invitation to the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España presented by Oysho 2025. With everything still to play for and two demanding months ahead, the season finale promises to be one of the most memorable in recent times.
