The Murcia course of La Torre Golf has hosted the Valuation Seminar over two days, which is promoted annually by the Courses and Handicap Committee of the Royal Spanish Golf Federation since 2001, the year of its first edition.

This meeting was aimed at expert appraisers from across the country in order to confirm that the USGA Field Appraisal System is being applied in the same way throughout the national territory.

With the presence, on this occasion, of fourteen evaluators from different areas of the Spanish geography, the result obtained has been highly satisfactory, confirming that the Course Evaluation System is being applied correctly in Spanish golf courses.

Over these two days, various presentations and tests were conducted. The first part focused on theoretical recommendations and guidelines for assessing a field, outlining the current calibration system revisions. Special mention should be made of the presentation on tree assessment.

The second part consisted of distributing the evaluators into teams to carry out the practical evaluation of different holes of La Torre Golf (holes 9, 1, 2 and 3) to conclude the Seminars by analyzing the results obtained by the different teams and checking their affinity with the system.

The differences between the results obtained by the different teams were small, reflecting the homogeneity of the criteria by all the evaluators regardless of their area of origin.

The seminar concluded with the traditional question and answer session, which led to stimulating and fruitful debates.
