El Campeonato de España Interclubes Masculino 2025 se celebra esta semana, del 25 al 28 de septiembre, en la casa del Real Club de Golf de Castiello (Bernueces, Asturias), uno de los clubes más activos en las últimas ediciones. Dieciséis equipos se dan cita en una prueba en la que defiende título el cuarteto representante del Real Club de Golf El Prat.

Los barceloneses (hándicap acumulado -16,3) acometen una nueva oportunidad de seguir haciendo historia en el torneo, en el que es el club más laureado, con Marcel Fonseca y Xavi Yagüe como repetidores respecto de la victoria obtenida en la final de 2024 ante el conjunto de Castiello. Precisamente los asturianos (-7,3), con Pablo Alperi a la cabeza, se presentan como uno de los principales opositores al título.

En este mismo escalón hay que situar a los chicos de Guadalhorce (-7,9), que han reclutado a Gonzalo Gancedo y Fernando Moreno, dos jugadores interesantes. Sant Cugat (-7,3), Cerdeña (-6,3), RCG Las Palmas (-6,2), Alenda (-4,5) o CC Villa de Madrid (-3,6) también aportan argumentos de sobra para estar en la final del domingo. Jugadores como Nicolás Vidal o Raúl Gómez tienen mucho que decir en este sentido.

El resto de equipos participantes son los representantes de Los Lagos (-2,3), L a Herrería (-1,7), Puerta de Hierro (-1,7), Vallromanes (-1,6), Terramar (-1), Sotogrande (0,2) y La Barganiza (0,4).

The qualifying round, crucial in the outcome of the tournament

The sixteen participating teams, made up of four players, will play a first day under the stroke play format of vital importance since it will determine, taking into account only the three best scores, the subsequent eliminations in the fight for the title.

The top eight finishers after completing the first 18 holes will compete for the title, while the rest will have to settle for fighting for the best possible position between 9th and 16th.

In the following two days of competition, under the 'match play' format, two players from each team play individual matches, while the other two, chosen by the captain of each club, face each other in 'foursomes' matches.
