The Spanish Men's Open presented by Madrid 2025, to be played at the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid from October 9-12, is being held this Tuesday, October 23, at the popular National Golf Center in Madrid.

Among the contenders for the two prized spots are players with extensive professional experience, including winning experience on the top European circuit, such as Madrid natives Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño and Alejandro Cañizares, winners seven and two times respectively on the DP World Tour.

There is also another golfer with a solid track record on the HotelPlanner Tour, including a victory, such as Pedro Oriol, and others who are accumulating experience and titles on the Alps Tour, such as Javier Barcos from Navarre, who also leads the order of merit of that circuit.

The list of candidates for the two available spots also includes a good number of young players who have already demonstrated their quality at the national level, such as Joseba Torres, Pablo Ereño or the current Spanish champion, Javier Sainz.

Let us remember that this access route responds to the request of Spanish professionals expressed in previous years in order to offer a possibility to those players who do not have the cards that are usually required to participate in DP World Tour tournaments.
