The Hong Kong Open (October 21-24) also returns to the schedule. Both this tournament and the Singapore Deutsche Bank Open will be co-sanctioned with the Asian Tour as part of the new three-way alliance that includes the PGA Tour and was agreed upon in July.
The Hong Kong Open, one of Asia's historic tournaments, returns to the DP World Tour schedule, from which it departed in 2019. Established in 1959, the event was co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and the Asian Tour eighteen times after its first appearance on the DP World Tour schedule in 2002. It returns to the Hong Kong Golf Club from October 21-24.
The Singapore Deutsche Bank Open is also one of Asia's most prestigious national open tournaments, established in 1961. The event, which was co-sanctioned with the DP World Tour between 2009 and 2012, will be played at Sentosa Golf Club.
On the other hand, the Portuguese Open returns to the calendar after being absent in 2020, adding another historic national open to the European Tour. Founded in 1953, the Portuguese Open has been part of the DP World Tour schedule 38 times since its inception in 1972. The 2027 edition will be played at the Oitavos Dunes Links golf course in Cascais.
In addition to the two returning national open tournaments, the Amgen Irish Open, the FedEx Open de France and the BMW PGA Championship have new dates due to the 2027 Ryder Cup, which will take place at Adare Manor, Ireland, from September 17-19.
The Amgen Irish Open, returning to the K Club, will be played from July 1-4, joining the Closing Swing. In the second half of the year, the FedEx Open de France will take place from September 9-12 at Le Golf National, the 2018 Ryder Cup venue, which will host the tournament the week before the 2027 Ryder Cup.
Meanwhile, the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Club will be held from September 23-26, the week immediately following the Ryder Cup. It will be the third Rolex Series event of 2027, following the Hero Dubai Desert Classic (January 21-24) and the Genesis Scottish Open (July 8-11), before the two DP World Tour Play-Off events, the Abu Dhabi Championship (November 4-7) and the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai (November 11-14), close out the season.
In total, the calendar will feature 42 tournaments in 24 different countries as part of the Race to Dubai. In addition to the 2027 Ryder Cup, team match play will also be part of the calendar at the start of the year, with the Nations Cup taking place from January 15-17.
