As part of the actions developed by the RFEG Rules Technical Committee in conjunction with the R&A and the USGA, with the aim of making the Rules of Golf accessible to everyone in the simplest and most enjoyable way, as well as increasing their knowledge, all interested fans can access the 'Rules Academy' through the R&A website, from anywhere and at any time, after prior registration.
Functionality designed with a user-friendly and easy-to-use format; as soon as you access it, you will see how the content of the different levels becomes easier to understand and progress by accessing a series of diagrams and explanatory videos, some of which are already available in the section of informative videos on RFEG Rules.
The Rules Academy contains the complete syllabus divided into four sections that cover all issues that may arise during the play of a round of golf.
As we study the different topics—General Aspects, Areas of the Course, Playing the Ball, The Green, etc.—every two or three topics will require a short review with a 10-question quiz. At the end of all the topics and all the review quizzes, there will be a Final Test consisting of 50 questions that must be answered in under 60 minutes.
The RFEG Rules Technical Committee would like to highlight the 3 main benefits that our users can obtain after completing the course:
Access all learning materials for free
The Rules Academy allows you to work on the different subjects at your own pace.
Taking review questions to test your understanding
Four review sections are included to ensure you have understood the basics.
Taking an Exam to Receive an Official Certificate
If you decide to take the exam and pass it, you will receive an official R&A certificate.
In the opinion of the RFEG Rules Technical Committee, this is an essential feature that every golfer and fan should access to ensure they are up-to-date and ready to play according to the 2019 Rules of Golf.

Upon contacting the R&A IT team, responsible for software development, they informed us that, while they investigate the reported anomalies, users should check their emails (including their junk mail or spam) for the “Validation” email.
If you have received it, you must click on the link in the validation email before you can log in.
