From November 27 to 30, 2025, the Real Guadalhorce Golf Club (Málaga) will host the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España presented by Oysho for the second consecutive year. This tournament, which closes the Ladies European Tour (LET) season, is supported by Turismo Costa del Sol as the main sponsor, along with the Andalusian government. The selection of Málaga and Guadalhorce further strengthens the relationship between the destination and top-level international women's golf, offering players and spectators a venue connected to the city and featuring first-class services.
The Costa del Sol, renowned as the Costa del Golf, boasts over 70 golf courses in an ideal setting for year-round play, with specialized infrastructure and a complementary offering—cultural, gastronomic, and accommodation—that positions the destination among the leading European golf destinations. In this context, the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España presented by Oysho serves as a platform for international exposure and as a catalyst for continuing to attract visitors who value quality and a complete golf experience.
The 2025 edition will build on last year's organizational success at Real Guadalhorce Golf Club, with a technical and demanding course just minutes from the city of Málaga. In addition to its sporting significance as the final event on the LET calendar, the tournament could prove crucial for the circuit's Order of Merit, enhancing the week's competitive appeal without diminishing the importance of the event itself.
The Costa del Sol's connection to the Open is strong: 2025 will mark the twelfth time in the modern era that the tournament has been held in the region, following previous editions at Flamingos Golf, La Quinta Golf & CC, Aloha Golf, Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, Los Naranjos Golf Club, Alferini Golf, Real Club de Golf Las Brisas, and Real Guadalhorce Club de Golf. This track record reflects the area's capacity to host international competitions and its ongoing commitment to women's golf.
Francisco Salado, president of the Provincial Council and of Costa del Sol Tourism, commented: "For the Costa del Sol it is a true honor to participate, once again, in an event of the caliber of the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España de Golf, which makes us a tourist benchmark worldwide.".
The participants in this important tournament become protagonists and ambassadors of the Costa del Sol, a destination that has been committed to golf as a tourist product for years, since it is a fundamental factor in reducing seasonality because the peak season for this sport does not coincide with that of general tourism.
According to Salado, golf tourists are "a particularly interesting profile for the province. I never tire of repeating it: golf still has great growth potential and brings significant benefits to the Costa del Sol with high-spending clients who generate wealth and boost other complementary sectors.".
The Costa del Sol, known as the Costa del Golf, has continued to consolidate its position as the leading destination in Europe in terms of the concentration of golf courses because 67% of the total number of golf courses in Andalusia, spread across 16 municipalities, are located on the Costa del Sol.
“Golf is a segment of remarkable attraction for tourists and of great promotional value: for this reason, and once again, we should be proud of the joint work of various institutions, which have once again rowed in the same direction for the promotion of a tourist segment, such as golf, which brings so many benefits to the Costa del Sol destination, demonstrating that our province is more than prepared to host this type of event.”.
The Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España presented by Oysho 2025 ultimately reinforces the position of the Costa del Sol as a leading golf destination in Europe: a territory prepared to host major events, with a specialized product, connectivity and a complete tourist offer that boosts its global projection.
