Ryder Cup Europe has announced that the qualification process for the 2027 European Ryder Cup team will begin this August at the Husqvarna British Masters Hosted by Sir Nick Faldo tournament, which will be held at The Belfry from August 27-30.

Eligible DP World Tour golfers will be able to accumulate Ryder Cup points throughout a year-long qualification process that will conclude on Sunday, August 22, 2027, including DP World Tour and PGA TOUR events held that week. These events will be confirmed when both tours announce their respective 2027 schedules. 

The six highest-ranked players in the Ryder Cup points standings at the end of the process will automatically qualify for the European team. Captain Luke Donald will then complete his 12-man squad by selecting six additional players through the Captain's Picks during the week beginning Monday, August 30, 2027.

Luke Donald stated, «The start of qualifying is always a significant milestone on the road to the Ryder Cup, so I’m pleased to confirm the details of our process for the 2027 European team. We have many talented European players at the moment, some with Ryder Cup experience and others who will be attempting to qualify for the first time. I’m really looking forward to seeing them compete for a place on the European team over the next 12 months.”.

The European team captain believes that "next year's Ryder Cup at Adare Manor promises to be very special for many reasons. It will mark the centenary of the Ryder Cup, and we will have the support of the Irish public, who are among the best in the world. These factors will only increase the motivation of our European players to secure a place on the team.".

Europe will be looking to win its third consecutive Ryder Cup when it takes on the United States at Adare Manor (Limerick, Ireland) from September 13-19, 2027, following its victories at Marco Simone in 2023 and Bethpage Black in 2025.
