Álvaro Velasco and Tania Elósegui have won the Biarritz Cup in their respective categories, continuing the tradition of this competition always favoring Spanish players. This is further evidenced by the fact that Sebastián García Grout and Beatriz Recari finished second in their respective categories.

Both players secured the lead at the end of the third round, with Álvaro achieving it with a surprising 63. At the end of the final round, Velasco finished 13 under par (263) and Tania Elósegui with 282.

Three strokes behind, and in second position on the leaderboard, was Sebastián García Grout, while among the women Beatriz Recari signed a card of 70 strokes and also finished second, four strokes behind.

THIRD DAY
The Spanish dominate the top spots in both categories at the end of the third round of the Biarritz Cup, held in the French town.

Álvaro Velasco, with a magnificent round of 63 strokes, has taken the lead in the standings, with a total of 196. Among the top four are his compatriots Sebastián García Grout and Pedro Oriol, both four strokes behind.

In the women's category, Tania Elósegui seized first place with 209 strokes, two less than the previous leader, Melodie Bourdy. Beatriz Recari is third, seven strokes behind. 

SECOND DAY
Pedro Oriol has climbed to first place (130) in the Biarritz Cup standings, which is being held in the French town until July 24.

The Madrid native achieved this thanks to an exceptional round of 64, but surprisingly, it wasn't the best of the day, as Frenchman Julien Foret carded a 63, placing him second just one stroke behind. Also among the top five are his compatriots Sebastián García Grout (132), in third place, and Álvaro Velasco (133), in fifth.

In the women's category, Tania Elósegui is hot on Melodie Bourdy's heels (137) and is at even par, just one stroke behind the Frenchwoman. Beatriz Recari is third (141), after a great round of 67 strokes that erased the bitter taste of the first round in which she finished with a 74.
