The eighth edition of the Spanish Senior Grand Prix for Men Over 60 and 70 Years Old has successfully concluded at the Castillo de Gorraiz course in Navarre with the second and final day, in which almost one hundred players gathered.

The final 18 holes saw Álvaro Llanza crowned champion, as his round of 73 strokes allowed him to catch Avelino Carlos Mora, the leader at the start of the tournament, in first place. With both players finishing with a total of 152 strokes, a tiebreaker was necessary, with Llanza emerging victorious on the first hole.

The podium in this Over 60 category was completed by Estanislao Urquijo and Julián García-Mayoral, who shared third place with a total of 154 strokes.

In the other tournament bracket, for players over 70 years old, there was no change in the top spot in the standings compared to the first day, as Gustavo Larrazábal managed to maintain that privileged position despite the challenges from his main pursuers.

A final round of 76 strokes and a total of 144 strokes was enough for Gustavo Larrazábal to prevail ahead of Juan Carlos Tinturé, second, and Juan Carlos Elósegui, third.
