Alejandro Rodríguez from Alicante has achieved the first Spanish victory of the year in the Alps Tour; specifically, it occurred in the Austrian Gosser Open, where he took over from Jorge Maicas from Aragon, winner last year.

Alejandro Rodríguez carded rounds of 68, 67, and 66 for a total of 201 (-15), a score that put him one stroke ahead of Frenchman Augustin Hole and Italians Andrea Romano and Filippo Grossi. On the final day, the Spaniard made six birdies without a single bogey; the last of these, on the 18th hole, proved decisive.

In addition, Gonzalo Leal and Pablo Riveiro, both with 207 strokes, have also achieved a Top 20 position.

At 22 years old, Alejandro Rodríguez, who last year completed his university journey in the United States, has achieved his first victory on the Alps Tour in just three tournaments.
