Golf Montanya

The Montanyà golf club is a beautiful facility. It maintains a close relationship with the Montseny Natural Park due to its peripheral location and because part of its forests lie within the park.
The playing field has a length exceeding 6,000 meters, with a par 72 for the 18 holes, which consist of 4 par 3s, 10 par 4s and 4 par 5s, with very different technical and environmental characteristics between the first 9 holes and the remaining 9.

The course designed by David Thomas was inaugurated in 1989.
The first nine holes make up a relatively short and quite technical course.
The tee shot of the first hole, elevated above a beautiful lake, demands a fully focused start, the prelude to an exciting round.

Hole 7, with its impeccable view of the Pyrenees, relaxes the tension of the game.
On the back nine, the course reaches its full splendor. The tee shot of the 10th hole overlooking its natural water reservoir is particularly impressive.

The starting tee of hole #1, elevated above a beautiful lake, is just the prelude to an exciting tour.
The par 5 hole number 5, with a gentle curve to the right, an elevated tee shot, and a narrow passage between the trees, demands great precision.
Hole #7, with its slope, left-hand curve, and impeccable views of the Pyrenees, relaxes the tension of the game.
A centuries-old oak tree plays a crucial role on the fairway of hole number 9.
Pay attention to hole #12, its handicap 1, a long uphill hole with a difficult green to reach. What a beautiful par 3 hole #14 is!, with an elevated tee box and a slope onto the green protected by a lovely little stream.
It's worth highlighting the changes in level on hole number 16, a long par 4, and finishing by observing from the tee of hole number 18 the view of the clubhouse and the Montseny massif, with its northernmost peak "El Matagalls". It's impressive!.
Contemplating the ancient holm oak, strolling among its inviting branches, observing the meticulous restoration of the "l'estanyol" farmhouse, playing 18 holes while enjoying both the game and the surroundings, and satisfying your hunger and thirst in its well-prepared kitchen and wine cellar—this is possibly one of the most wonderful experiences one can have.
