El Paraíso Golf Club

One of the main features of this paradise is its location, which, aided by the area's microclimate with more than 300 days of sunshine a year, places this original Gary Player design in a fantastic position to enjoy golf at any time of year.
Located 14 km from Marbella in a valley surrounded by hills with magnificent coastal views, it was carefully designed by Gary Player and Kirby. The designers created the layout by taking advantage of the hillside that slopes down to the sea. The clubhouse, situated in the center, is rustic but very popular.
The golf course has fairly wide fairways, though not wide enough to allow for aggressive play, as the roughs are treacherous. The water hazards are quite prominent, both for the beauty they add to the course and because there are dangerous streams hidden in the roughs. The central holes of the course (the 13th and 14th) are set in an incomparable environment, with large trees and lakes in the middle. The most challenging hole is arguably the 7th, with a green guarded by two enormous bunkers.
