The Cortijo Country Club

Cortijo Country Club boasts one of the best sports and leisure facilities in Gran Canaria and Spain, featuring an excellent 18-hole golf course (Par 72), as well as a driving range, putting green, school, a Clubhouse with restaurant, specialist shop and various recreational spaces for holding events of different kinds (celebrations, courses, conferences, etc.).

The golf course features 18 holes, a par of 72, and a length of 6,308 meters, making it one of the longest courses in Spain. Its design, with up to six tees per hole, allows players of all skill levels to enjoy the course.

The holes are surrounded by several lakes that have been incorporated into the design and that undoubtedly give it a special appeal, both aesthetically and in terms of game strategy.

The course designers, Blake Stirling and Marco Martín, have extensive resumes, notably Blake Stirling having been the chief designer for Pete Dye (considered one of the world's great designers).

The course made its international debut in high-level competition, hosting the European circuit of the Canarias Open de España in 2002, with Sergio García winning and Rafael Cabrera-Bello finishing 4th as the best amateur of the tournament.

It also has fourteen padel courts, eleven tennis courts, six of them clay courts, a multi-sport gym, an equestrian center with capacity for 62 horses permanently, five competition tracks, space for dressage and learning, a riding school, a swimming pool, etc.

The Cortijo Country Club is located just twelve minutes from the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the capital of the island of Gran Canaria. With its magnificent facilities, it becomes the ideal recreational place for families, as well as for many of the tourists who visit the islands.

Visited annually by golf enthusiasts who are not residents of Gran Canaria and who have a charming rural hotel on the exit of hole 1 and the arrival of hole 10, which makes El Cortijo Club de Campo a great attraction on the island.
