Club History

Desert Springs Golf Club

In the far corner of the Andalusian east coast, above the Almanzora valley, with easy access from the international airports of Almería and Alicante, Desert Springs has built the first European Arizona-style desert golf course.
Designed by Peter McEvoy, who led the British-Irish Walker Cup team that recently beat the United States, Desert Springs, built to all USGA specifications, is well worth playing.

The difference from normal courses is obvious, which is normal considering that this is the desert where numerous western films were shot, so a tough golf course fits perfectly here.

Desert Springs is not as tough as it seems, but it is a great challenge for the golfer in a curious setting, with cacti, crocas and dry riverbeds, hitherto unknown in Europe.
