La Cañada Golf Club

La Cañada is the first public golf course on the Costa del Sol. It is located in an elevated area of Guadiaro, a town that proportionally has the largest population of golf enthusiasts in Spain.
The design of the extension, currently the first nine holes, was done by architect Dave Thomas. The designer of the second nine holes (initially the first) is Robert Trent Jones, who also designed the neighboring courses of Valderrama and Real Club de Golf Sotogrande.
It's a pleasant and varied course with excellent views. The terrain isn't flat, but the slopes are gentle. It's characterized by its well-maintained greens, a significant grove of native trees, and the gully on the 18th hole that gives the course its name.

The course is easy to play and doesn't require golf carts. Its greens are spacious, undulating, and meticulously maintained. It's an ideal course for strategic play, requiring the use of all clubs. Fun is guaranteed for any golf enthusiast.
