Scorpion Golf Club

Scorpion Golf Club. A private 27-hole course comprised of three groups of 9 holes which, when combined, create three 18-hole rounds. The course features extremely undulating terrain and a rough made up of numerous Mediterranean trees (pines, holly, australis, orange trees, olive trees, etc.) and very attractive views with the Sierra Calderona mountain range as a backdrop.
The holes. The difficulty and length of the holes vary greatly. From the white tees, the par 3s range from 130 to 207 meters, the par 4s from 350 to 405 meters, and the par 5s from 458 to 527 meters.

The fairways are wide and generally quite flat, which makes the course not too tiring to play on.

The greens. The size of the greens ranges from 400 to 675 square meters, with an average of about 500 square meters per hole. They have gentle shapes, without steep slopes, and are generally quite fast.

The lakes. The course has six beautiful, irregularly shaped lakes, although one of the 9-hole courses (the new ones) does not have any lakes. These lakes have become protected areas for a wide variety of waterfowl.

The bunkers. Around 75 bunkers of different sizes and depths. In "the new ones" the bunkers are characterized by their size and position, as they come into play for both the professional and the high handicap player.

The trees. A great variety of trees of Mediterranean origin: pines, orange trees, olive trees, cypresses, holm oaks, poplars, araucarias, casuarinas, Celtic trees, cersis trees, melias, brachtons… In the last three years more than 1,000 trees have been planted to recover a rough that was initially planted with orange trees that had to be changed after being attacked by a beach.

The 9-hole course is located to the right of the driving range. The holes are laid out on flat terrain. They are characterized by a high number of doglegs, which often force the player to choose between several options.

group of holes characterized by the large number of lakes that come into play (five holes) which contribute to rewarding good shots and penalizing bad shots.

These are the nine newly constructed holes. These holes are different from the other 18. The terrain is more undulating, the greens are slightly elevated, and the bunkers are very large. They are challenging, straightforward holes that offer the golfer a good test of their game.
