Located in the mountains above the city of Murcia, Altorreal is a magnificent 18-hole course designed by Dave Thomas. It is notable for its strategic use of water, which comes into play particularly on holes 9 and 18.
The Altorreal Golf Club is located a few kilometers from Murcia city and an hour from Alicante airport.
The course was designed in the space of two 9-hole curves that start and end at the same point. It is characterized by the unevenness of the greens, and the main difficulty lies in the bunkers that flank the greens; great precision with the drive is needed to avoid falling into them and to be able to make birdie.
The most difficult hole on this course is undoubtedly the par-5 6th, the longest of them all. The presence of water on the 9th and 18th holes requires extra caution and concentration if you want to avoid going over par.
