From this enormous window opened by the internet, I welcome you to the website of the Balearic Golf Federation. We have been developing this project for some time, and now it is a reality, which I am pleased to present to you.
I hope you will visit this page frequently, as we have strived to offer you all the information a golfer could need. Following the publication of the Official Competition Calendar and the Balearic Golf Bulletin, the Federation's communication channels with our members, we now have a third element of this collaboration: the website. This allows us to showcase our activities to the world, as well as the variety of courses where golf can be played in our region. For each course, you will find a description, its technical specifications, the people who manage it, and their postal and email addresses.
You will have the opportunity to register with the federation if you are not already a member and you practice our sport. Also, if you have recently changed your address or bank account details, you can send us your updated information. You can check your handicap online via the direct link to the Royal Spanish Golf Federation. I would appreciate it if you would send us your suggestions, opinions, and anything else that could help us improve communication within the golf community via email, fax, or mail. The MADRID GOLF FEDERATION is a private, non-profit entity that holds the exclusive official representation of the sport of golf and the specialty of pitch & putt in the territory of the Community of Madrid for public purposes.
Furthermore, it is a public utility entity, in accordance with the provisions of article 1.5 of Decree 159/1996, and in addition to its own powers it exercises, by delegation, public functions of an administrative nature, acting in this case as a collaborating agent of the Public Administration.
As an entity whose purpose is the practice and promotion of the sport of golf, it will attend to the development of its sporting disciplines in accordance with the regulations of the Community of Madrid and those of the national and international sports organizations that govern said sport.
