La Manga Club will host the gala of the prestigious international World Golf Awards from November 23 to 26, which identify and reward excellence in facilities and services of different courses around the world.
This is the first time these awards have been held in Spain, and the organizers have chosen this exclusive resort to host the fourth edition. Various activities and events will take place over three days, with the awards ceremony being held on Saturday, November 25th, and attended by leading figures in the world of golf tourism.
The general manager of La Manga Club, José Asenjo, explained that “it is a great honor and privilege to be chosen as host of the World Golf Awards for the first time in Spain, in what is a landmark year for the resort as we celebrate our 45th anniversary.”.
“Each year the event attracts some of the most respected figures in the golf industry, and we are very excited to have this opportunity to showcase our many world-class golf courses and leisure facilities to a key global audience and look forward to welcoming everyone here in November,” Asenjo concludes.
La Manga Club is nominated for several of these awards, considered the "Oscars of the golf world." This year, it has been nominated for "Europe's Best Golf Venue" and "Spain's Best Golf Course" (for its South Course), among others. In 2014 and 2015, the 5-star Príncipe Felipe Hotel at La Manga Club won the award for "Best Golf Hotel in Spain.".
