Functions of the Economic Control Commission
1. Supervision of Economic Management:
The Economic Control Commission has the responsibility to monitor the economic management of the federation, ensuring that financial practices are carried out in an appropriate and transparent manner.
2. Annual Report to the Higher Sports Council
The Commission must submit a report on the financial management of the Royal Spanish Golf Federation to the Higher Sports Council. This report must be submitted within three months of the approval of the annual accounts.
3. Reporting Irregularities:
The Commission or any of its members may report directly to the Higher Sports Council any financial irregularities, failure to respond to requests, insufficient information, or any other situation that may affect the proper financial management of the federation. These communications are treated confidentially.
4. Independence and Professionalism:
The members of the Commission, who are appointed for a period of four years, must be independent and impartial, with training and experience in economics, finance and auditing, thus ensuring effective control of the federation's economic activities.
