With some of the major tours – European Tour, LPGA, Challenge Tour or Alps Tour – already concluded, this week the spotlight falls entirely on the Asian and PGA Latin American tours, which are holding events with Spanish participation.

At the King's Cup, held at Singha Park Khon Kaen Golf Club in Thailand, Carlos Pigem, a member of the 2014 Pro Spain Program, had one of his best weeks of the year. The Catalan golfer finished sixteenth with a total of -10 after posting rounds of 67, 69, 69, and 73 strokes.

The victory went to the local player Thaworn Wiratchant (-20).

Meanwhile, the PGA Tour Latinoamérica caravan made a stop this week in Argentina, where the Personal Classic was held. Samuel del Val from Alicante made the cut and finished in 29th place with a score of -7. The tournament was shortened to 54 holes due to inclement weather.

Diego Suazo wins the third event of the 2014-15 Gecko Pro Tour

Diego Suazo from Valladolid has brilliantly won the third event of the Gecko Pro Tour 2014-15 held on the Malaga courses of Lauro and Guadalhorce after three days of intense competition.

Diego Suazo, the third Gecko Pro Tour champion of the season in as many tournaments, has won with a total of 205 strokes, with special mention for a final round of 67 strokes at Lauro Golf, the course that hosted the third and final round.

The golfer from Castile and León finished two strokes ahead of Carlos Balmaseda from Madrid and five strokes ahead of the Swede Alexander Jacobsson, the Germans Philipp Mejow and Patrick Kopp, the Briton Matthew Webb and the Spaniard Daniel Serón, all of whom were tied for third place.
