In accordance with the provisions of section j) of article 98 of the Statutes of the Royal Spanish Golf Federation, the sanction of PUBLIC REPRIMAND is imposed on Golf de Ibiza, which will be published for 15 calendar days on the notice boards of:
– The Balearic Golf Federation – as this is the Autonomous Federation corresponding to the club where the infraction occurred –,
– the Ibiza Golf Club – as this is the club where the infraction occurred – and,
– The Royal Spanish Golf Federation, in addition to its website.
Following the initiation of the appropriate disciplinary procedure, the Sports Disciplinary Committee of the Royal Spanish Golf Federation, in its session of November 13, 2011, considered the commission of a serious infraction to be proven, as it was found, in said sports facility, that golf lessons were being given without a title and in exchange for remuneration, contravening what is stipulated in article 11.1 of the Statutes of the RFEG, which states verbatim;
“In order for the Royal Spanish Golf Federation to grant the federation license to Clubs and other Associations, they must commit to requiring the presentation of the license in force in Spain to any person, whatever their nationality, who wants to use the facilities dependent on them for sports practice.
Likewise, they must commit to requiring the qualification granted by the Royal Spanish Golf Federation, as well as a valid federation license, from those who teach at their facilities.”
