The La Siesta Golf course (Málaga) has been chosen to host the first edition of the innovative Spanish Regional Pitch & Putt Final, in which the Regional Federations will showcase the best players from their rankings in this golf discipline. On June 26th and 27th, 41 players will compete for a historic victory.

This inaugural tournament will feature prominent golfers who have already demonstrated their potential with the National Teams and in major championships. Among them is Madrid native Carlos González, who starts with the lowest handicap (1.4) and is the most decorated Spanish golfer of recent times.

In addition, other top-level players from Madrid will be playing in the Malaga tournament, such as Juan Pedro Monjo (1.6), Luis Rodríguez (3) or Javier Parrilla (3.2), Andalusians of the quality of Andrés Pastor (3.7) or Vicente Serrano (4), and a Valencian with great solidity like Javier Marroquín (4.3).

This competition was created by the Pitch & Putt Committee of the RFEG (Royal Spanish Golf Federation) to further promote a discipline that is very popular among Spanish golfers. Since the committee's creation in 2006, Pitch & Putt competitions have multiplied in Spain, resulting in the emergence of a large number of high-level golfers. Consequently, Spain is one of the leading powers in the sport on the continent.
