Víctor García Broto, second, comes close to victory in the Aravell Andorra Open 2026

The Spaniard finished just one stroke behind the winner, Frenchman Alexandre Vandermoten.

The UGolf Aravell Andorra Open by Creand 2026 concluded at the UGolf Aravell Andorra course with a thrilling finish that came down to the final hole. Frenchman Alexandre Vandermoten secured the title with a decisive birdie on the 18th hole, while Spaniard Víctor García Broto delivered an outstanding performance to finish in a brilliant second place, just one stroke behind the winner.

The final day was played under clear skies and excellent playing conditions, on a course that once again lived up to expectations in the fifth edition of a tournament that has become fully established on the Alps Tour calendar since its creation in 2022.

The French golfer, who remained near the top of the leaderboard throughout the week, closed out the championship with a round of 67 (-4) for a total of 11 under par. His birdie on the 18th hole proved decisive in securing his second victory of the season on the Alps Tour.

Alexandre Vandermoten, 25, holding the trophy, said: “Today was a long day, but I felt like I was following a good routine and stuck to my plan of staying focused and mentally strong. My putting was very solid all week from under two meters, and I’m very proud of that. My main goal was to stay focused, and I managed to do that, so I’m proud.”

“I’m taking it one step at a time. Obviously, two wins are a great achievement, and a third would be even better, but right now, I’m focused on my own game. My goal is to continue working on my mental strength to be more present and stick to my routine more consistently. I want to better understand pressure and learn how to play with it. I knew where I was on the 18th tee, needing a birdie. I felt good, but I felt the pressure on the last few holes and made a couple of mistakes because I wasn’t focused. That’s precisely what I want to improve. Continuing to work on my mental strength will help me achieve that,” he concluded.

The tournament's standout Spanish player was undoubtedly Víctor García Broto, who battled for the win until the very end, ultimately finishing in second place with a total of 10 under par, confirming his excellent form. This result also allows him to climb seven places in the Order of Merit, where he now occupies thirteenth position.

The third position was shared by Italian Luca Cavalli and fellow Spaniard Pablo Alperi, both with a total of 9 under par, rounding off a remarkable performance by Spanish golf in the Andorran tournament.

Alongside the professional tournament, the Nations Cup was held, reserved for amateur players from Bulgaria, Italy, Portugal and Andorra, in which Philip Kittoff and Sam Brown emerged victorious.

With a prize fund of 49,700 euros and 45,000 points for the Order of Merit, the tournament leaves Andrea Romano at the top of the Alps Tour rankings, followed by Maxime Legros and Alexandre Vandermoten himself, who rises to third position after his victory in Andorra.
