The third major on the women's calendar, the KPMG Women's PGA Championship, arrives this week at the demanding Hazeltine National Golf Club (Minnesota) – host of the 2016 Ryder Cup – with four Spanish golfers among a spectacular field. And there's something to celebrate: the tournament boasts the largest prize purse ever awarded in a women's event ($13 million).

Carlota Ciganda, Julia López, Carolina López-Chacarra—who entered the tournament almost at the last minute due to Lexi Thompson's withdrawal—and Carla Tejedo, one of the most in-form players at the moment thanks to her outstanding performance on the LPGA Tour, face the arduous task this week of trying to reach Sunday with a chance of winning the first Spanish major. Minjee Lee is the defending champion.

On the other hand, continuing with women's golf, the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open is being played in the Czech Republic, with Marta Martin in the field - the Madrid native already knows what it's like to win the tournament (2024) - with the return of Carmen Alonso after an injury and with Harang Lee in great form

The DP World Tour, in Italy

On the men's side, the DP World Tour arrives in Italy for a classic event on the calendar, the DS Automobiles Open d'Italia. David Puig, Josele Ballester, and Eugenio López-Chacarra lead a large contingent that also includes Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño, a two-time winner of the tournament.

In addition, the HotelPlanner Tour is holding the Blot Play9, with Pablo Ereño defending his second place in the Race to Mallorca; the LETAS is holding the PGA Championship in Sweden; the Epson Tour is holding the Island Resort Championship, and Miguel Ángel Jiménez is going to the DICK'S Open with the same high ambition as always.

There is also golf on Spanish soil, the UGolf Aravell Andorra Open, belonging to the Alps Tour and about which full information is offered on this website.
