Spain, ranked eighth, regains its form on the final day of the Toyota Junior Golf World Cup

The team, whose best golfer has been Nagore Martínez, lost ground in the previous rounds.

Spain regained its form on the final day of the World Junior Team Championship, known internationally as the Toyota Junior Golf World Cup. After two challenging days in which the team had lost ground, it climbed back one place to finish its round at Japan's Chukyo Golf Club in eighth place with a total score of -1.

This time, Nagore Martínez (70, -2) and Carolina Pérez-Tasso (71, -1) posted scores, nullifying Amanda Revuelta's 73 (+1), which had been the highest-scoring Spanish player until now. Ultimately, Nagore Martínez herself, finishing eleventh with an even par, was the best in the individual standings.

In the end, South Korea emerged victorious with a total score of -31. It's worth noting that Spain was the only European team to receive a wildcard entry into the competition. South Africa, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, New Zealand, the United States, Canada, and Colombia completed the women's tournament lineup for this edition.

Spain, from more to less in Japan

Spain began its journey in the tournament with a cumulative score of -6. Amanda Revuelta led the team with a round of 68, -4. Nagore Martínez's -2 completed the day's score for the group, which has been captained all week by the President of the Women's Amateur Technical Committee, Covadonga Basagoiti. The discarded round was Carolina Pérez-Tasso's +1.

The second day proved more challenging for the Spanish delegation in Japan. They dropped to seventh place after taking six more strokes than on the first day. The trio carded a 72, bringing their total to 144. This allowed their rivals to extend their lead in the standings.

Spain took a second step backward in the tournament on the third day. The team finished in ninth place after taking eight more strokes than in the second round. Amanda Revuelta and Nagore Martínez's 76s, less sharp than in the previous two rounds, dropped the delegation three places.

FINAL RESULTS
