Miguel Díaz-Negrete from Asturias (-6 overall) won the Men's Mid-Amateur Andalusian Cup, the tournament that concluded the 2026 National Ranking this weekend at the Real Club de Golf Vista Hermosa (Cádiz). Fifty-one golfers participated in the competition.

The first round concluded with Díaz-Negrete tied for the lead with Andalusian Antonio Pimentel, both with 69 strokes (-3). The close presence of other top golfers such as Antonio Cruz-Conde and Gonzalo Chaves suggested a tight finish on Sunday.

And so it was. The Asturian – Spanish champion in the category in 2016 and 2019 – carded his second consecutive round of 69 strokes; not even a double bogey on the 18th was enough for Antonio Cruz-Conde, with another 69, to force a playoff. One stroke separated the two, with José Talavera (-3) in third place.

Last qualifying event for the National Ranking

This Andalusian Cup was the fourth and final qualifying event for the 2026 National Mid Amateur Men's Ranking. The first was the Madrid Championship, held in La Moraleja with a victory for Iñigo Carmona; the second, the Catalonia Cup, won by Luis Tomás García at Empordá Golf; and the third, the Spanish Championship, in which Jon López-Lanchares emerged victorious at the Neguri course in Vizcaya.
