The Royal Spanish Golf Federation, together with the Autonomous Federations and the support of the Higher Sports Council through its Women and Sport program, promotes the television program HOLAGOLF, a fifteen-minute magazine that is reaching its tenth season.
The aim of this program is to introduce golf to those unfamiliar with it by highlighting its many benefits, such as health, nature, and physical activity. Additionally, leading figures in the sport collaborate to dispel the prejudices that have historically been associated with this recreational and athletic activity.
This seventh program begins with the "Current Events Report." Holagolf was present at the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Rabat, the course that hosted the 50th edition of the Hassan II Trophy. Morocco is an exotic destination where golf is generating a great deal of enthusiasm, and its popularity is constantly growing.
Spanish golfer Miguel Ángel Jiménez was in the North African country, participating in the PGA Champions Tour tournament, and spoke exclusively to the program's cameras about his recent performance and his future in the world of sports.
Later, in the "From Pro to Pro" section, our professional Patricia Lobato interviews one of the most promising, yet already established, golfers on the LPGA Tour. Englishwoman Mimi Rhodes, a resident of Sotogrande, won three trophies last season and dreams of becoming one of the leading figures in women's golf in Europe.
Then, in "Kiko, I Need You," former Real Madrid basketball player José Miguel Antúnez attends Professor Kiko Luna's classes to achieve a natural draw. And once again, the master fulfilled a student's wish, achieving it in less than two minutes.
Finally, in "With Another Accent," journalist Abraham Neme spoke with the only three Latin American golfers currently competing on the European Tour, each with a story of overcoming adversity to reach the Old Continent, and compares it to other times when there were more than a dozen.
This weekly program is promoted by the Royal Spanish Golf Federation and the Higher Sports Council, through its Women and Sport program.
Apart from the premieres of each episode, all HOLAGOLF programs are periodically rebroadcast on Teledeporte and are also uploaded for online viewing at http://www.rtve.es/alacarta/videos/holagolf/, www.holagolf.es and www.rfegolf.es.
