Juan Guerrero-Burgos, President of the Royal Spanish Golf Federation, has led, for the second time this year, a meeting with his counterparts in the different Autonomous Federations to discuss the new challenges facing Spanish golf.

The meeting, which took place at the National Golf Centre, served to review the current state of Spanish golf in various aspects, as well as to present new projects, the central focus of the presidential meeting, based at all times, as has been the custom for years, on unity of action and consensus among all golf organizations.

Juan Guerrero-Burgos focused first on the digitization process undertaken by the RFEG, as well as on matters related to the management of the National Golf Centre, headquarters of this federative body.

In the sporting field, the presidential report addressed issues related to the organization of the 2031 Ryder Cup in Girona as well as, in a more immediate timeframe, the Men's and Women's Spanish Opens that will take place at the CC Villa de Madrid and La Cala this year.

The monitoring of the Agreement signed with the PGA of Spain, the Blume scholarships and the creation of a Golf Museum constituted other chapters of the presidential meeting, addressing the projects of public courses located in various Autonomous Communities, whether in progress or imminent.

The presentation of the Regeneraqua project - related to the comprehensive management of water in golf courses -, Showcase and Gamyplan - a new way of structuring teaching on golf courses - were among the points discussed on the agenda.

For their part, economic issues were highlighted through separate reports on License Monitoring and the 2026 Budget.
