Seven golfers are participating in a training camp from May 31st to June 1st at the Barceló Montecastillo Golf course (Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz), which will host the European Under-18 Men's Team Championship next summer. The aim is to deepen their knowledge of the course and fine-tune their technical, physical, and psychological preparation.

The players called up are Yago Horno, Gonzalo Baños, and Samuel Love from Andalusia; Nicolás Vidal from the Canary Islands; Fernando Cobo and Juan Miró from Valencia; and Mateo Hidalgo from Madrid. Leading the training camp are Santiago Urquijo and Luis Méndez, Vice President and Sports Director of the Men's Amateur Technical Committee (CTAM), respectively; coaches Yago Beamonte and Felipe Rodríguez; physical trainer Francisco Fernández; and sports psychologist Óscar del Río.

The team for the Under 18 European Team Championship, to be held from June 7-11, will be selected at the end of the 2026 Spanish Men's Absolute Championship 'Gonzaga Escauriaza Cup' (June 4-7, RC Sevilla Golf).

The España Futuro group has already visited Montecastillo

Eight golfers participated in a training camp for the Spanish Men's Future team at the Barceló Montecastillo Golf Club on April 11th and 12th. The group consisted of the same players plus Luis del Rosal from Andalusia. Most of these golfers participated in the first CTAM training camp at the same Cádiz course last December, with their sights set on the European Championship. Spanish golf legends such as José María Olazábal, Álvaro Quirós, and Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño attended that camp as guests.
