Pablo Bernárdez, Director of the Professional Department of the Royal Spanish Golf Federation, has voluntarily ended his time at this federation to continue his work career in his native Galicia.

Javier Herranz, a professional golfer since 2016, with experience in national and European tournaments, as well as a professional caddie on the DP World Tour between 2020 and 2022 and a member of the National Golf Centre team since 2023, replaces him in this position within the RFEG.

Pablo Bernárdez joined this federative organization in 2008 as Director of the Professionals Department, demonstrating from the first moment a professionalism, dedication, rigor and good treatment recognized by all those with whom he has been associated.

Apart from his direct involvement in the organization and celebration of most of the professional tournaments held in our country during these last years, Pablo Bernárdez also assumed with special dedication the responsibilities inherent within the Golf Centre of Excellence - a state-of-the-art facility at the European level that serves professional golfers and elite amateurs - and in everything related to the Pro Spain Team Program, which facilitates the transition from amateurism to professionalism.

In May 2025, Pablo Bernárdez was re-elected Secretary General of the Alps Tour, the third European men's professional circuit.

Aware that he will remain linked to the RFEG in one way or another, this federative body wishes to express its gratitude for the work carried out by Pablo Bernárdez during all these years, both in the professional and human sphere, wishing him the greatest success in his new work stage, while also welcoming Javier Herranz.
