This weekend the traditional Zonal Junior Rankings 2026 were launched with the first Catalan event, held at the Infinitum Golf course (Tarragona), where more than one hundred young golfers competed. Check the results.

The Zonal tournaments have now been running for twenty-five years, a period in which they have carved out a prominent place in the first half of the calendar. Jon Rahm, Iván Cantero, María Parra, David Puig, Marta Martín, Alejandro del Rey, Manuel Elvira… the list of now-professional players who competed in their first tournaments at these Zonal tournaments is long.

These competitions will continue until June, and updates will be posted on this website.

Promoting golf through the Zonal Youth Qualifying Tournaments

The Zonal Qualifying Tournaments are a series of competitions—twenty in total, two per established geographical zone—created by the Junior Technical Committee of the Royal Spanish Golf Federation to promote the sport among younger players. The success of previous editions at all levels has propelled these tournaments to become a benchmark in the ten zones that encompass all the boys and girls in Spain.

The main objectives of the participants in these tournaments are to deepen their knowledge of golf, measure themselves against other players in their category – beginners, juniors, children and cadets – and, above all, have fun.
