With the aim of obtaining the best participants in the elite competitions organized in Spain, the RFEG will establish a System of Access to Elite Competitions (SACE index), as an eligibility index to access the most relevant events of the different categories, in those cases in which registrations are not completed through exemptions or other specific systems (WAGR).
The SACE index is based on stroke play test results, which include a coefficient depending on the importance of the test; these tests will be included in a single, previously published calendar, made up of Professional, WAGR, RFEG, and Regional tests, all of which have requirements regarding supervision and strict compliance with the regulations in terms of evaluation, course setup, etc.
With the aim of ensuring that as many registered players as possible have a SACE Index, the rounds of tournaments meeting the requirements have been validated since January 1, 2024. According to our estimates, the vast majority of players in these elite competitions already have a SACE Index. Players can check their SACE Index in the Player Area of our website. Likewise, all information regarding the tournament schedule, rankings, and regulations related to SACE can be found in the Courses and Handicaps Committee section of the RFEG website.
The use of this value as an eligibility criterion for compiling the list of participants may be at the discretion of the Event Committee and must be included in the Competition Regulations. The SACE Index is not exclusive to the RFEG and may be used by any affiliated club or Regional Federation for events deemed appropriate.
