Victor Casado and Juan Quirós, golfers from Malaga and Cadiz with a long and successful career behind them, are the main target to beat, as the last winners, in the Spanish Senior and Super Senior Men's Professional Championship, which on this occasion takes place from October 15 to 17 at the Segovian course of La Faisanera.

Victor Casado, the best in the 2018 and 2024 editions, aspires to add his third victory in the Senior category (over 50 years old) and further embellish a sporting résumé that includes a victory in the National Professional Circuit held in La Herrería in 1991, as well as the runner-up position in the 2003 Spanish Professional Championship and the runner-up positions in the 2020 and 2021 Spanish Senior Professional Championship.

Exactly one year ago, at the Valle del Este course, Víctor Casado edged out Madrid native Santi Luna by one stroke, who had been in contention for the title until the very end. A superb final round of 67 proved decisive in Casado's victory.

Juan Quirós, aiming for his fifth consecutive victory among the Super Seniors

It's also worth noting that in the Super Senior category (over 65 years old), last year's winner was Juan Quirós, who now aims for his fifth consecutive victory. The golfer from Cádiz, who debuted in this age group in 2021, dominated from start to finish, beating José Antonio Salgado, winner of the previous two editions, by eight strokes.

In 2022, Juan Quirós also put on a spectacular display to secure the victory, beating José Antonio Salgado and Emilio Rodríguez by 13 and 14 strokes, respectively. A year later, Juan Quirós's dominance was further solidified with a victory achieved by a margin of five and eight strokes over Domingo Hospital and Emilio Rodríguez.

Finally, in 2024, he once again dominated decisively, beating Domingo Hospital by five strokes.

The Andalusian player also boasts a brilliant sporting record that includes dozens of international and national tournaments. Among them are four victories on the European Senior Tour and the Spanish Senior Professional Championships in 2009 and 2011.

Two important tournaments in one: Senior and Super Senior

The celebration of this tournament simultaneously houses two competitions, the Senior category itself (over 50 years old) and the Super Senior (over 65 years old), whose members fight for that independent title playing from specific bars.

The competition will be held over three days, with 18 holes played each day. Admission is free.
